As I sit here pondering over the problems I face today, a little voice in my head tells me I must get back to work. “Don’t waste the day” it screams.
Why is it that I am conditioned to believe, that introspective thinking is a waste of time? Why must we believe, that to be useful, one must keep their minds occupied? Why is time spent thinking, budgeted as down-time?
Is it because a busy mind helps you solve your problems? Or is it because it helps you push them under the carpet?
Isn’t it true that stillness of the mind gives you better direction?
That silence, is usually followed by enlightenment?
